If your dishwasher won’t start, is leaving standing water, isn’t heating, making strange noises, or leaking; these are clear signs of a malfunction. Here’s how you can identify the problem:
Dishwasher won't turn on; no lights
What it means: There's a power issue. First, check that the outlet is working and the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. If power isn't the problem, it could be a faulty power button, a bad electrical filter, or a failed main control board.
Water remains in the dishwasher after a cycle
What it means: The drain system is blocked. The most common cause is a clogged filter at the bottom of the unit. Try cleaning it. If that doesn't help, you likely have a faulty drain pump or a clogged drain hose.
Dishes are cold and wet after the cycle
What it means: The water isn't heating up. This is likely due to a burnt-out heating element or a faulty temperature sensor (thermostat) that isn't signaling the unit to heat.
The dishwasher makes a humming sound but doesn't fill with water
What it means: There's a water supply problem. Check that the water supply valve under your sink is open and the inlet hose isn't kinked. If those are fine, the water inlet valve on the dishwasher may have failed.
Water is leaking from under the door
What it means: The door seal is compromised. This is most often caused by a worn-out or damaged door gasket.
Dishes are still dirty or have a white film
What it means: The cleaning performance is poor. Ensure the spray arms aren't clogged with food debris and can spin freely. If the problem persists, it could be a failing circulation pump (which powers the spray arms) or you might be using the wrong type of detergent.
An error code is showing on the display
What it means: The dishwasher's self-diagnostic system has detected a specific fault. Write down the code and tell it to our technician — it will speed up the repair.
The door won’t open or close properly
What it means: The door latch or opening mechanism is likely jammed or broken. Sometimes, the latch can get stuck due to residue buildup or slight misalignment. Try gently pressing on the latch release (the small “finger” or catch that locks the door) — sometimes a light push helps it reset and open. However, avoid using excessive force, as this can break the mechanism entirely.

We handle both common and complex dishwasher issues. Here’s a breakdown of the most frequent service calls:
Drainage and Circulation Issues (Pumps, Clogs): ~30% of cases
The unit won't drain, hums but doesn't wash. This is the most common failure, caused by clogs, wear and tear, or foreign objects getting into the pump.
Heating Element or Sensor Failure: ~25% of cases
Water doesn't get hot, and dishes (especially greasy ones) aren't cleaned properly. Typically caused by limescale buildup or power surges.
Leaks and Seal/Gasket Replacement: ~15% of cases
Puddles on the floor or moisture around the unit, usually due to a worn-out door gasket.
Control Board (Module) Repair or Replacement: ~10% of cases
The machine is unresponsive, won't start, or cycles behave erratically. This is one of the more complex and costly repairs.
Water Inlet Valve Replacement: ~10% of cases
The dishwasher doesn't fill with water or overfills.
Door Latch (Lock) and Dispenser Replacement: ~5% of cases
The door won't lock, preventing the cycle from starting, or the detergent door won't open.
Other Repairs: ~5% of cases
Includes replacing spray arms, fixing wiring, and other miscellaneous work.
Important: We only proceed with part replacements after an accurate diagnosis and with your full approval. We use original manufacturer parts or certified high-quality alternatives and provide a 90-day warranty.

Check our works
Built-in models require special care due to limited access to components. Our technicians are trained to work on these systems and use tools that allow for repair without dismantling cabinetry whenever possible. The complexity may affect the time and cost, but most repairs are completed in a single visit.
This is often related to hard water or improper use of rinse aid, not a malfunction. Try using a special salt to soften the water and adjust the rinse aid dispenser setting. If that doesn't work, there might be an issue with the dispenser itself.
Odors are caused by food particles and grease buildup in the filter and on the seals. At least once a month, clean the coarse and fine filters at the bottom of the dishwasher and run an empty, high-temperature cycle with a dishwasher cleaning product or citric acid.
